Step by Step
Building the Frame...
- Cut the 1x4 clear pine pieces to length according to the cut list. Using the 16 & 36 pieces, build a rectangle frame using wood glue & 2˝ - 18 gauge nails.
- Insert the two 14½˝ support pieces and evenly space them in the opening. Attach them using wood glue & 2” – 18 gauge nails.
- Attach the 1½˝ x 1½˝ x 18˝ legs to the inside corners of the frame using wood glue and 2˝ wood screws. Keep the top of the legs flush to the top edge of the frame.
- Place the 17˝ x 37˝ table top base on top of the frame and center it. Nail it into the frame thru the top using the 18 gauge nail gun W/ 2˝ nails.
- Wood putty, sand & stain the frame.
Building the Hockey Stick Table Top...
- Line up and glue the hockey sticks one by one. Alternate the hockey sticks as you go – blade, cut end, blade, cut end, etc. The blades should be pointing up. Use the 18 gauge nail gun and tack them as you go to avoid using clamps. Note: Use enough hockey sticks to get a width of 18˝.
- Attach the hockey stick table top to the table top base. Center the hockey stick table top onto the MDF base and screw it in from underneath. Use 1¼˝ wood screws to attach the table top.
ENJOY.
